CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation result 2026: When will students get their fee refund?

CBSE is releasing Class 12 verification and re-evaluation results in phases. The board clarified that students will get fee refunds if marks increase after re-evaluation. Refunds will be processed after the complete result revision process is completed.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is releasing the Class 12 verification and re-evaluation results in phases. Amid the ongoing process, students who applied for re-evaluation are now waiting for clarity on when they will receive their fee refunds.

The board has assured students that the re-evaluation fee will be refunded if there is an increase in marks after the re-evaluation process. However, the exact timeline for issuing the refunds has been a concern among candidates.

In a detailed guideline issued on June 21, CBSE stated that the verification and re-evaluation fee will be refunded to the source account in cases where there is an increase in marks after the re-evaluation result is declared.

Responding to queries regarding excess or duplicate payments made by candidates, the board clarified that such amounts, if applicable, will also be refunded to the original source account.

CBSE further informed that the results of around 87% of candidates who applied for re-evaluation and/or verification of issues observed have already been declared. The remaining results will be released in phases, and the entire process is expected to be completed soon.

CBSE REDUCES RE-EVALUATION AND VERIFICATION CHARGES

The board has also reduced the fees related to the post-result process. The fee for obtaining scanned copies of answer books has been reduced from Rs 700 to Rs 100. Similarly, the fee for verification of issues observed in answer books has been reduced from Rs 500 to Rs 100.

The re-evaluation fee has also been reduced significantly, from Rs 100 to Rs 25 per question.

DETAILS ON REFUND PROCESS

As per the official notification, students will receive the revised re-evaluation fee only after the complete re-evaluation results are declared. The refund process will begin once the board completes the entire result revision procedure.

CBSE has also advised students and parents to avoid relying on unverified social media posts, rumours, or unofficial sources regarding the post-result process. The board has stated that all authentic and updated information will be shared through its official communication channels.
