Delivery man forcefully enters Bengaluru woman's home, flashes at her; arrested

A 22-year-old delivery executive has been arrested for flashing a woman inside her apartment in Bengaluru's Marathahalli area, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place on Saturday evening when the accused, identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamat, arrived at an apartment in Munnekolala to deliver an order. According to the woman's complaint, the delivery executive insisted on using the bathroom and flashed her after coming out.

The woman recorded a video of the incident and shared it on social media. After police took note of the video, officials from the Marathahalli Police Station contacted the complainant and initiated action.

Based on a complaint filed by Nilofar Fatima, police registered a case against the accused under Sections 75, 79 and 329(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), dealing with sexual harassment and related offences.

"The Marathahalli Police registered a case based on a complaint filed by Nilofar Fatima alleging sexual harassment by a Flipkart delivery boy. The accused, Vijay Mallikarjun Kamat, 22, has been arrested and legal action has been initiated against him," said Saidulu Advaith, DCP Whitefield.

Police said further investigation into the matter is underway.
