Law student falls from 7th floor of friend's flat in Noida, dies

A law student allegedly fell to his death from the seventh floor of an apartment complex in Noida's Sector 99 on Saturday, police said.
The deceased, identified as Tapas, was a resident of Ghaziabad and was pursuing an LLB degree from a private university in Noida. He was reportedly with friends in the Supreme Tower Society apartment when the incident occurred.
Tapas's female friend and other friends were present in the flat at the time of the incident.
According to sources, Tapas was close to his female friend but recently, they were experiencing a rift in their relationship. Both were law students.
On the complaint of the deceased's father, a lawyer based in Ghaziabad, Noida Police have registered a case of abetment to suicide.
Senior police officials and a forensic team have inspected the scene of the incident, and a detailed investigation is underway. Statements of the individuals present in the apartment at the time of the incident are being recorded.
The body has been sent for autopsy, police said.
