How killer of IRS officer's daughter used deceit to rape friend's wife in Alwar

Focus has shifted to Alwar, where Rahul Meena allegedly used deception and familiarity to target a neighbour's wife hours before the Delhi crime. The survivor's husband said he learnt of the incident after his wife called him, saying Rahul had come and "did something wrong," breaking down during the call.

The 23-year-old house help, Rahul Meena’s story, is growing darker by the hour with every new revelation. His two alleged rape incidents within 12 hours -- first in Rajasthan’s Alwar and then in Delhi -- have already been reported.

So has the brutality of the events that unfolded in a New Delhi apartment, where he allegedly assaulted, raped, and strangled the daughter of an IRS officer, his former employer.

Now, Rahul’s web of deceit and lies, allegedly used to rape his friend’s wife in Alwar, has come to the fore.

The survivor’s husband said the accused, Rahul, is also his neighbour. Recounting the events of April 21, he said he was going to attend a wedding with a friend when Rahul, who was standing in the village, asked where they were headed. “I told him I was going to a wedding. He insisted on coming along and eventually accompanied us,” he told India Today.

After reaching the venue, he said Rahul wanted to be dropped back home, but he refused.

"I refused and told him we would leave after having food. Somehow, Rahul returned to the village on his own and came directly to my house, knocking on the door. My wife thought it was me and opened the door," he said.

It was around 10 pm when Rahul reached his home. He said that his two children were sleeping when his wife opened the door.

He said that when his wife stepped outside, Rahul grabbed her arm and took her to another room. "He forcibly entered the house, and raped her," the husband told India Today.

“Later, my wife called and said, ‘Rahul had come and did something wrong to me.’ She broke down while speaking. That is when I came to know about the incident,” he added.

Rahul was in Alwar before travelling 200 kilometres to Delhi on Wednesday morning, where, he went on to carry out another heinous set of crimes in his ex-employer's apartment, killing his daughter, who was an IRS officer before assaulting and allegedly raping her.

Meena was friends with the survivor’s husband in Alwar, and they frequently played ludo together. His family had earlier lived as tenants in their house, indicating prior ties between the families.

Following the alleged assault, the survivor informed her husband, after which a rape case was registered against Rahul in Alwar.
