Why behaving like Delhi Police, Abhijeet Dipke asks his security officer to leave

The CJP founder accused the PSI of being rude to visitors and of trying to restrict and monitor those entering his residence in the Waluj MIDC area.

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convenor Abhijeet Dipke on Friday confronted a police sub-inspector posted at his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar as part of his security arrangement and demanded that the officer be removed from duty.

Dipke alleged that the PSI had been preventing people from meeting him and was behaving discourteously with visitors. The incident took place at Dipke’s house in the Waluj MIDC area of the city.

According to Dipke, security personnel had been deployed at his residence following threats and to manage crowds gathering there. He claimed the PSI was attempting to regulate and monitor the entry of people coming to meet him.

Videos of the exchange between Dipke and the officer, as well as a phone conversation with a senior police official, surfaced on social media and were widely circulated.

In one video, Dipke is heard objecting to the officer’s conduct and questioning his authority to restrict visitors.

"What is the problem in allowing people to come into my home when I am asking them to come in. Why are you behaving like the Delhi Police? No problem has occurred till today, I am seeing you for the first time. You (police) will not tell me whom I should meet and whom I should not meet," he told the PSI, who was dressed in civilian clothes.

Dipke then asked the officer to leave the premises, saying, “You please go out, I don't want you in my house.”

In another video, the CJP founder is seen speaking to a senior police officer over the phone and reiterating his complaint. “A PSI named Suresh has come here and he is very rude to people coming to meet me. He is telling people to go out. Is this being done deliberately? I don't want him, remove him from here,” Dipke said during the call.

He also alleged that personnel from the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were present near his residence in plain clothes.

"A reporter told me some CID people were spotted near my home. When police tried to remove them, they revealed they were from the CID. The reporter also saw that a WhatsApp group was open on the phone of one of the CID personnel and it was named 'Hit Spray'. The reporter told me they were sending their reports from here," he claimed.

Police officials did not immediately respond to the allegations. Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Atulkar, whose jurisdiction includes Waluj MIDC, could not be contacted for comment.
