Friends stab Hyderabad man to death over suspicion of being police informer

A 30-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by two of his friends in Hyderabad on Thursday evening after they suspected him of leaking information about their drug activities to the police.

The victim was identified as Waseem alias Mohammed Naseeruddin Ahmed. According to police, Waseem and the two accused had previously faced cases related to alleged drug and ganja peddling.

Police said the accused suspected that Waseem was acting as a police informer and sharing information about their drug activities with the authorities.

The incident took place following an argument between Waseem and the two accused. The suspects attacked him with knives, leaving him seriously injured.

Waseem was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.

Police have identified the suspected attackers as Ilyas and Shoaib/Sohail and are searching for them. A murder case has been registered in connection with the incident.

Police are also examining CCTV footage and other evidence as part of the investigation.
