Two giant pythons spotted roaming around a residential area near an industrial facility in Assam's Dibrugarh district have left locals worried, with residents saying they are increasingly afraid to step out of their homes, particularly after dark.

The snakes were spotted near the Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) facility. Their presence created panic in the neighbourhood, with residents concerned about the possibility of an encounter while going about their daily activities.

Fearing a possible incident, locals have urged forest officials to visit the spot at the earliest and safely rescue and relocate the two pythons.

They have also appealed to authorities to intervene without delay, stressing that the situation needs to be addressed while ensuring the safety of both residents and the snakes.
