UP woman found murdered inside newly rented house in Jharkhand, lover arrested

A young woman from Uttar Pradesh was stabbed to death inside her rented house in Chakradharpur, Jharkhand, on Thursday. The woman, identified as Anita Bind, was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon. Police have arrested a young man in connection with the murder and are questioning him.

Anita, a native of Mirzapur, had moved into the rented accommodation in Chakradharpur only around 15 days ago. She worked as a supervisor at the Women and Child Development Project office in Sonua block.

YOUNG MAN SEEN ENTERING WOMAN'S HOUSE

According to the landlord, Sanjay Kumar Sav, he noticed a young man entering Anita's rented room under suspicious circumstances on Thursday. The landlord stopped and questioned him.

The man identified himself as Anil Kumar Bind and claimed to be Anita's acquaintance and lover. He told the landlord that he had come to meet her.

The landlord then checked inside the room and found Anita lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Marks indicating an attack with a sharp-edged weapon were found on her body.

The incident was subsequently reported to the police. A police team reached the rented house, detained the young man and began questioning him.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Anita's death, including the nature of her relationship with the detained man and why he had gone to her rented accommodation.

A possible link to a romantic relationship has emerged during the preliminary investigation, though the exact motive for the murder remains unclear. Police are examining the circumstances leading up to the attack and the events inside the house.

The detained man was later identified as a resident of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
