A man climbed an 80-foot Jio mobile tower in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut after his wife left for her parental home following a dispute between the couple. The man, Faiz, climbed to the top of the tower and refused to come down, insisting that his wife be brought back.

Faiz had reportedly quarrelled with his wife. Upset over the dispute, his wife went to her parental home in Amroha district.

Faiz then climbed the 80-foot Jio tower and stood at its top, demanding that his wife return from her parental home. He refused to come down despite people at the spot trying to persuade him.

A crowd gathered at the site as bystanders attempted to convince Faiz to climb down. Someone recorded a video of him on the tower, and the video subsequently went viral on social media.

After the viral video brought the incident to the authorities' attention, the police and fire department personnel reached the spot. They tried to persuade Faiz to come down and, after considerable efforts, managed to bring him safely down from the tower.
