Bihar cop aspirant stalked, attacked with knife after rejecting man's advances

A Muzaffarpur woman preparing for the Bihar Police constable exam has alleged that a man stalked and attacked her after she rejected his advances. Police have registered a named FIR and begun investigating her complaint, which also includes rape and death threat allegations.

A 22-year-old woman preparing for the Bihar Police constable recruitment exam has alleged that a man stalked her for 15-20 days before assaulting her and attacking her with a knife at her home after she rejected his advances.

The woman, a resident of Muzaffarpur, regularly goes running as part of her preparation for the physical efficiency test.

On Tuesday, while returning home after a run, the woman said that Ravi Kumar stopped her and pressured her to confess her love for him. When she resisted, he abused and assaulted her.

The woman somehow managed to escape and reach her home. However, according to her complaint, Kumar followed her there and continued abusing and assaulting her.

During the assault, Kumar stabbed her in the head with a knife, leaving her injured.

When the woman raised an alarm, people gathered at the spot, following which the accused fled.The injured woman was rushed to a hospital.

Following the incident, the woman submitted a complaint, based on which the police have registered a named FIR and begun investigating the case.

In her complaint, the woman also accused Kumar of rape and said that he threatened to kill her father and brother.
