A man has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida for allegedly murdering his 13-year-old son, his only child. The accused purportedly committed the murder with the aim of framing his relatives, with whom he is locked in a property dispute.
A missing person complaint was also lodged by the man in an effort to cover up the crime, the police said. However, during the course of the investigation into the boy's disappearance, his father's version of the events aroused suspicion.
Furthermore, a thorough examination of CCTV footage and questioning of locals reinforced the police's suspicion. Soon, they recovered the missing boy's body from a pond in the area.
The accused is currently in police custody and is being questioned. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
