A Delhi Police constable has been suspended after at least two social media reels surfaced showing him flaunting firearms, including a sniper rifle, while deployed for security duty during the recently held 18th BRICS Summit.

According to officials, a departmental enquiry has also been initiated against the policeman, identified as Deepak.

The videos were originally posted by Deepak on social media before they went viral. In one of the reels, he is seen stationed atop a high-rise building and taking aim with a sniper rifle.

The reel also showed the nearby buildings as visible from the terrace.

In another video, apparently shot at the same location during the day, Deepak is seen posing for the camera, with his handgun prominently visible in his holster.

He appeared in plain clothes in that video.

A third video shows other security personnel deployed at the site as the camera pans to show the view from the terrace.

The videos sparked controversy as they appeared to reveal a sensitive security vantage point and showed deployed personnel and firearms during a high-security international summit.
