The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a revised examination calendar for December 2026 to April 2027, announcing the proposed dates for several national-level entrance and eligibility examinations. The updated schedule includes the December cycles of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) and Joint CSIR-UGC NET, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027, and Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2027.
The NTA has stated that the dates mentioned in the calendar are tentative and may change due to administrative, academic, statutory, logistical or other unforeseen circumstances. Candidates should regularly check the official website, nta.ac.in, for further announcements.
NTA EXAMINATION CALENDAR 2026-27: IMPORTANT DATES

OTHER EXAMINATIONS IN THE REVISED CALENDAR
Apart from these major examinations, the revised calendar includes several other tests. The Rashtriya Indian Military College examination is scheduled for December 6, 2026, while SWAYAM examinations will be held from December 8 to 12. The Rashtriya Military Schools examination is scheduled for December 13.
In January 2027, the Army Cadets College examination is proposed for January 4, while the SHRESHTA (NETS) and NIFT entrance examinations are scheduled for January 10. The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination will take place on January 31.
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is scheduled for February 7, 2027.
JEE MAIN 2027 SESSION 1 REGISTRATION BEGINS
The registration process for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 has started. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at participating institutions should complete the application process through the official JEE Main website and follow the instructions issued by the NTA.
