Indian woman shot dead in suspected target attack in Toronto, man with Indian descent charged

New Delhi: A tragic incident took place in which Indian origin woman was shot dead by an Indian descent man in a suspected target attack in Toronto on Friday. The incident came to light on Saturday.
The victim of this murder case is identified as 26-year-old Navneet Kaur and accused as 37-year-old Sharnjeet Singh of Indian descent.
The incident took place on Friday after Navneet and Sharnjeet had a brief interaction. The accused man shot her and fled the scene.

Following the incident, the police arrived and traced Sharnjeet, he was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and failure to comply with an undertaking.
The police was informed about the incident by an eye witness, who saw the sequence of the occurrence of crime. The woman’s life was tried to be saved but she couldn’t make it and died at the scene.
Further investigation into this matter is underway.
