Jharsuguda Police encounter: Notorious criminal Ankit Ghosh shot in leg during exchange of fire

Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Police shot a notorious criminal Ankit Ghosh in the Orient paper mills (OPM) Ib Ghat under Brajarajnagar police station limits on Monday.

According to Police, the dreaded criminal, allegedly shot at the police team which reciprocated, resulting in the encounter.

Following which, Ankit received bullet injury on his right leg, and was whisked to the District Headquarters Hospital for medical examination.

Sources further revealed that Ankit is an accused in seven cases including murder, dacoity and other offenses.

He was wanted  by the Police in a case, in which he threatened a woman with a gun.
