Punjab police ASI shot by 3 bike-borne men in Amritsar

Amritsar: An assistant sub-inspector of Punjab Police was shot at and injured by three motorcycle-borne assailants in Amritsar on Sunday evening, police said on Monday.
The officer, identified as Sukhchain Singh, who is posted with the Government Railway Police in Amritsar, suffered a bullet injury to his left arm.
The attack took place while Singh was returning home after duty. A case has been registered, and the matter is being investigated from multiple angles.

As per police, Singh was riding his motorcycle when three men on another motorcycle opened fire at him in Amritsar and then fled. He was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital in Ajnala. His condition is stated to be stable.
After receiving information about the attack, a police team reached the spot. Investigation is underway.
