4 killed after car plunges into gorge near Mussoorie in Uttarakhand, search operation underway

Dehradun: An accident took place in which four people reportedly feared dead after the car they were in plunged into gorge near Mussoorie.

Following the incident, when the information was received the local police, State Disaster Response Force and the ambulance rushed to the spot.

The rescue operations of the feared dead four occupants of the car were hampered due to the remote terrain and dense vegetation in the gorge.

The State Disaster Response Force went down in an attempt to recover the bodies of the people. It is said that the car had fallen 600 meters deep in the gorge.

Initial investigation by the police reveals that the 4 persons might not have survived such an incident. However rescue operation still continues and the information will be revealed once the bodies are found.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
