NIA files 1597 page chargesheet, names 6 accused, including Pak handler, in Pahalgam terror attack

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a 1,597-page chargesheet against accused persons, including Pakistan-based handler Sajid Jatt, in connection with the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. ANI reported about this in an X post today.

The chargesheet, filed before the NIA Special Court in Jammu, names Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and The Resistance Front (TRF) as key conspirators.

The attack, which occurred on April 22, involved targeted killings by Pak-sponsored terrorists. The NIA’s investigation, spanning eight months, traced the conspiracy to Pakistan. The chargesheet includes three Pakistani terrorists killed during Operation Mahadev: Faisal Jatt, Habeeb Tahir, and Hamza Afghani. Two locals, Parvaiz Ahmad and Bashir Ahmad Jothar, were also chargesheeted for harbouring terrorists.
