Young woman’s body recovered from Kathajodi River

Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a young woman’s body was seen floating in Kathajodi River in Trishulia area of Cuttack City this morning.

According to reports, some local residents saw the body and informed the police and fire firefighters.

Immediately the Barang police reached the spot and recovered the body with help of the firefighters.

The police also found a mobile phone from the bag, which was found on the spot.

However, the identity of the young woman has not been established yet. Besides, it is unclear whether the young woman died or was killed by someone, who dumped her body in the river.

Meanwhile, Barang police sent the woman’s body to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital for her postmortem.
