Two karate instructors get life term for gang rape of minor student

Madhya Pradesh: Two karate instructors sentenced to life imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor student in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna.
As per reports, The Guna Cantonment police had booked the accused criminals under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and registered a case of gang-rape against three men.
They were later arrested and sent to jail.
Special POCSO court judge, Sonali Sharma, sentenced the accused, Jagveer Jatav (40) and Sachin Bhatnagar (30), to life imprisonment also imposed a fine of ₹7,000 on each of the convicts, while due to lack of evidence, third accused was acquitted.
According to the prosecution, the victim joined a karate academy when she was 12 in 2017.

The accused alledly assaulted the minor over a period of time in Guna and also during training trips to other parts of India and abroad.
The incidents continued till 2019.
The survivor later informed her mother about the incidents after one of the accused contacted her again in 2021.
A police complaint was then filed, leading to an investigation and trial.
