Honour killing in Gwalior, father and cousin shoot girl in front of panchayat
by Sudeshna Panda · KalingaTVGwalior: In a shocking act of honour killing in Gwalior, a father and a cousin shot dead a girl in a front of the panchayat. The victim has been identified as Tanu Gurjar.
According to reports, Tanu publicly opposed the marriage arranged by her family and expressed her desire to marry a man of her own choice which enraged the father and her cousin.
It has been reported that the killing took place in front of the panchayat. The shot was fired from a country made pistol at close range. This let d to instant death of the girl.
On the other hand it is worth mentioning that Tanu’s cousin, acted as an accomplice and fired additional shots that ensured that she is dead. The police has reached the spot and is further investigating into the matter.
