Koraput: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Odisha tomorrow and likely to review key Defence works at the Sunabeda HAL.

As per reports, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to hold discussions with senior officials of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and other officials associated with the defence sector during his visit to Sunabeda in Odisha’s Koraput district tomorrow that is on Tuesday.

Several key issues related to defence production and security are expected to be discussed prominently during the visit.

The HAL facility at Sunabeda is considered an important centre in India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem. The division holds particular significance in the field of aircraft engine production and maintenance. Against this backdrop, the Defence Minister’s visit is being viewed as significant from the perspective of strengthening the country’s defence production capabilities.

During his visit, Rajnath Singh is also expected to interact with senior HAL officials and review key projects and ongoing activities at the facility.

Meanwhile, necessary preparations are being made in and around the HAL premises at Sunabeda ahead of the Defence Minister’s scheduled visit. Special emphasis is being laid on security arrangements.

Attention will now be on the projects that the Defence Minister reviews during his visit and the major defence production and security issues that come up for discussion with officials.
