Cyber Fraudsters Impersonating DGP to Extort Money, Causing Panic

Bhubaneswar: Cyber fraudsters are active in the name of the Odisha DGP. Posing as police officers, they are threatening people and demanding money.

In some cases, they are even sending videos of police beating people to scare victims.

In one such incident in the Nayapalli police station area of Bhubaneswar, a female student received threats and has now approached the Cyber Police Station.

The fraudsters are using the DGP’s photo to carry out the scam. This has created an atmosphere of fear among the general public.

Cyber police have now launched an investigation to track down and arrest the cyber fraudsters involved in the racket.
