Masked robbers loot Rs 22 lakh cash and gold ornaments at gunpoint in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A major robbery was reported from Odisha’s Bhadrak late on Thursday night after a group of masked men allegedly looted ₹22 lakh cash along with gold ornaments from a house near the Taladanda Canal area under Amarapali police limits.

According to reports, around seven to eight masked robbers entered the house of Gangadhar Mallik during the night. The accused allegedly threatened Gangadhar Mallik and his son by holding them at gunpoint and placing knives on their necks.

The robbers looted nearly ₹22 lakh in cash along with gold ornaments from the house before fleeing from the spot. Family members were left terrified after the incident.

After receiving information, police reached the area and started an investigation into the robbery. Officials are examining nearby areas and trying to identify the accused involved in the crime.

The incident has created panic among local residents, with many raising concerns over safety and security in the area.
