45-year-old man hacked to death over past enmity in Padampur, one detained

Padampur: A 45-year-old man was hacked to death over past enmity in Turla village under Jharbandh police limits of Bargarh district and one person has been detained in this connection.

The deceased has been identified as Trinath Nayak.

As per reports, Trinath Nayak and one Jogendra Kharsel had a long standing fued. Yesterday evening there was an argument between them and in a fit of rage, Yogendra allegedly attacked Trinath with a sharp weapon while he was sleeping.

Later, Trinath’s daughter filed a complaint at the Jharbandh police station in this regard.

After receiving complaint, the Jharbandh police station officer Sanjay Parida along with his team reached the spot and have detained Jogendra Kharsel in this connection.

The police are investigating the exact cause of the incident.
