Twist in Kathajodi Bridge ‘Missing Youth’ Case: Man Did Not Jump, Was Found Sleeping at Home, Watch

BARANG: There’s a twist in the case of a youth reported missing after allegedly jumping into the Kathajodi River in Cuttack of Odisha from Trisulia Subas Setu.

It has been learnt that the youth did not jump into the river. He left his mobile phone and raincoat on the bridge and went back home. After hours of search operations, police found that the man was sleeping at his house.

The youth has been identified as Lipu Sahu from Nuahat area of Kakatpur.

According to police, Lipu came to the Kathajodi river intending to end his life due to a family dispute. However, he later changed his mind and rode his bike back home, he told police.

The case came to light when his wife called his mobile phone, which was found on the bridge. Based on that, police traced him and made contact. Lipu himself answered the call and said he was at his mother’s house.

Police have now summoned the youth, his wife, and his mother to the police station for questioning.
