Eight critically injured as truck rams auto on NH-16 in Tangi

Bhubaneswar: A goods truck crushed the rear of a passenger autorickshaw in Harikund Baradi near National Highway-16 in Tangi of Khordha district.

Eight, including two minors, were in critical condition.

Chilika Fire Services teams reached the site after getting information and rescued the injured persons.

According to reports, out of the eight, six injured persons are identified: Suresh Biswal (55), Riyasu Singh (8), Sarat Sundaray (68), Sujit Biswal (28), and Sanjibani Mansingh (13).

The identities of the other two are yet to be confirmed.

The victims were immediately taken to Tangi Community Health Centre with the help of the 108 ambulance service and fire service vehicles.

The victims were provided initial medical aid, and subsequently, all those critically injured were referred to Bhubaneswar for treatment of serious injuries.

The police rushed to the site of the accident and began an investigation into the incident.
