Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition and BJD President Naveen Patnaik on Saturday interacted with party leaders, Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, and workers from Brajarajnagar Assembly Constituency.

The meeting, led by former MLA Alaka Mohanty, focused on developmental works and organisational strengthening in the constituency. Sources said the discussion centred on accelerating grassroots-level preparations for the upcoming Panchayat elections.

Patnaik emphasised the need for robust organisational machinery, effective implementation of welfare schemes, and close coordination with PRI representatives to strengthen the party’s base at the village and block levels.

During the interaction, issues related to local development projects, public grievances, and strategies to enhance party outreach in rural areas were thoroughly reviewed.

Patnaik urged the workers to work unitedly and ensure that the Biju Janata Dal remains firmly connected with the people ahead of the panchayat polls.

The meeting is being seen as part of BJD’s proactive strategy to gear up for the panchayat elections across Odisha.
