Balasore: Woman Throws Hot Oil at Daughter-in-Law! Victim Critical

Balasore: A woman allegedly threw hot oil at her daughter-in-law in Balasore district of Odisha on Friday. Accordingly, the victim woman sustained severe burn injuries. Reportedly, her mother-in-law allegedly threw hot oil at her following a dispute. The incident took place at Mathanuagaon under Khaira police limits.

According to reports, an argument broke out between the woman and her mother-in-law over a hibiscus plant branch. The dispute allegedly took a violent turn on Friday morning when the mother-in-law allegedly threw hot oil at her daughter-in-law.

Accordingly, the victim reportedly suffered more than 50 per cent burn injuries. She was initially rescued and rushed to Khaira hospital for treatment. However, as her health condition deteriorated she was later shifted to the District Headquarter hospital in Bhadrak for further treatment.

The victim woman has also alleged that she had been subjected to harassment by her mother-in-law since her marriage.
