Minor girl rescued from alleged abuse by aunt in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A minor girl was rescued from an allegedly abusive home in Sundarpada area of Bhubaneswar under Airfield Police Station

There was allegations that the child was physically assaulted and made to do household work.

Acting on a tip-off, the rescue operation was jointly conducted by Ruchika Childline and Airfield Police.

The child was allegedly made to do all the housework by her aunt and was subjected to continuous physical torture for quite some time.

According to officials, during the rescue operation, injury marks were found on the body of the minor girl.

The child has been taken under care for further treatment and support.

Police have started an investigation into the alleged abuse of the minor girl and would take further action based on the outcome of the probe.
