Tragedy in Haripur as father-son duo is electrocuted

Balugaon: A tragic incident claimed the lives of a father and his son after both were electrocuted in Haripur village under the Nachuni police station limits in Balugaon district.

The deceased have been identified as Rabindra Guru and his son, Pabitro Guru, residents of Haripur village.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday evening when the two were heading to their agricultural field for work.

The father reportedly came into contact with a live electrical source near the field. In an attempt to rescue him, his son also touched the live source and suffered an electric shock. Both died in the incident.

The incident has left the village in mourning. Further details regarding the circumstances that led to the live electrical source being exposed are awaited.
