Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Majhi instructed teachers to act as empathetic mentors rather than strict authoritarians. Emphasizing the principle of “Karma is God,” he outlined strict operational boundaries:
- Zero Tolerance: Immediate consequences for corporal punishment, alcohol use, and irregularities in the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) program.
- Disaster Duty: Recruits stationed in Southern Odisha were urged to actively assist flood-hit communities.
Welfare Frameworks & Infrastructure
Majhi linked the hiring push to National Education Policy (NEP) goals and state initiatives:
- Multilingual Education: Primary instruction is offered in 10 tribal languages, including Santali.
- Residential Infrastructure: Operation of 69 Ekalavya Model Residential Schools.
- Student Retention & Aid: Targeted stipends through the Shaheed Madho Singh Hathakharcha Yojana to stem dropouts, alongside the Foreign Scholarship Scheme funding 50 scholars annually.
