School girls sexually abused at private madrasa in Assam, sealed

Guwahati: A shocking incident took place in which two minor school girls were allegedly sexually abused by teacher at a private madrasa in Assam has been reportedly sealed.

The teacher who has done the crime has also been arrested by the police in connection with this case.

The victim of this incident is identified as two minor girls enrolled at the private madrasa.

Following the incident, the girls filed a complaint at the police station regarding the matter and several people gathered outside the alleged institution demanding strict action for such an act. The people also damaged the private property of the institution.

A case has been registered by the Police under the POCSO Act after the girls filed complaints.

As per reports, after this incident when the institution was investigated it was found that it didn’t have any government recognisation, no CCTV cameras and had 149 girls enrolled at the hostel.

The girls of the institution have been moved to another location along with their parents.

The institution will be kept sealed till the investigation is ongoing.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
