Two Minors Go Missing While Bathing in Subarnarekha River in Jaleswar

Balasore: Two minor boys went missing after reportedly drowning while bathing in the Subarnarekha River near Shekhabad under Jaleswar police station limits in Odisha’s Balasore district.
The missing minors have been identified as 15-year-old Samshed from Jhadeswarpur and 11-year-old Jisan, who had reportedly come to Jaleswar from the Kharagpur area to visit a friend’s house.

According to reports, five minor boys from the Jhadeswarpur area had gone to the river to bathe together. While they were in the water, two of them were swept into the deeper portion of the river and went missing. The other three boys managed to escape safely.
After receiving information about the incident, the Jaleswar Fire Services team reached the spot and launched a search operation in the river. Rescue personnel are continuing their efforts to trace the two missing boys.
The incident has caused concern among local residents, while the search operation remains underway.
