Two sis-in-law electrocuted after coming in contact with live wire in Dhenkanal

Hindol: In a very tragic incident, two women lost their lives due to electrocution in Ranjagola village under Hindol Balimi police station in Dhenkanal district.

The deceased has been identified as Manisha Dehuri and Ranju Dehuri of the same village.

As per reports, a live electric wire had snapped and fallen on the ground due to Kalbaisakhi thunderstorm that hit their village yesterday night. When one of the sister-in-law Ranju went to the backyard of the house, she came in contact with the live wire and suffered an electric shock. She screamed in agony. Hearing her cries, Manisha rushed to save her, but she also got electrocuted upon touching the wire.

The family members immediately rushed to the spot and took both women to Hindol Sub-Divisional Hospital, where the doctors declared both dead upon arrival.
