Three Women Dead, Two Missing After Drowning Incident in Ayodhya Village

Ayodhya, UP: Three women died and two others went missing after five women drowned in a river in Sanahaa village of Ayodhya district today. The incident occurred when the women were reportedly in the river – ANI reported in an X post today.
Local residents alerted authorities, and intensive search and rescue operations are currently underway to trace the two missing individuals.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the drowning incident. Expressing deep condolences to the bereaved families, the CM directed district officials to reach the spot immediately and expedite relief work.

He further instructed authorities to intensify rescue operations in coordination with the SDRF to locate the missing women. The CM also directed officials to ensure immediate medical treatment for the injured and wished for their speedy recovery.
Local police and administration teams are present at the site. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
