Andhra Pradesh reports seven new COVID-19 cases, state tally rises to 26

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh registered 7 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday with the overall number of active patients in the state reaching 26,
Of the new cases 4 are from Guntur, 2 from East Godavari and 1 from Bapatla.
According to health officials, new infections are sporadic and do not belong to any particular cluster.
They are keeping close watch and will continue with their surveillance in order to prevent its further spread.

In all of the 26 cases that were registered, as many as 10 patients have been hospitalized whereas 9 are in isolation.
Three cases were found to have recovered and were already discharged from treatment. 4 people died due to the virus in AP, all of them having other complications too.
The deceased all had other pre-existing health issues. The Health Department asks citizens, especially the elderly and individuals with chronic illness, to remain careful.
