New Delhi: Several roads in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram were inundated, and traffic jams were witnessed across the national capital region due to heavy monsoon showers overnight.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains with thunderstorms and gusty winds across the regions.

The government advisories to avoid unnecessary travel and to remain extra cautious in the low-lying areas have been issued.

The downpour resulted in severe waterlogging across the major roads of the city, causing immense hardship to the people travelling to work.
