Former IAS officer Sujata Rout Karthikeyan formally joins BJD

Bhubaneswar: Former IAS officer Sujata Rout Karthikeyan, wife of former bureaucrat VK Pandian has formally joined Biju Janata Dal (BJD) at Shankha Bhawan on Thursday.

BJD President Naveen Patnaik was present in the joining ceremony. BJD President announced the joining of Sujata into the party during the party’s organisational meeting.

Naveen said that Sujata joined the BJD as an general worker. Naveen had announced that BJD will fight the elections in 2029 under my his leadership. Naveen Patnaik made it clear that the party will fight the upcoming elections under Naveen’s leadership.

All the senior BJD leaders, MLAs, MPs and district-level leaders were also present at the BJD meeting.

Sujata had taken voluntary retirement from the Indian Administrative Service in March last year.
