Khordha: Schools closed for tomorrow, early MDM today, No CL for staff for next 4 days

Khordha: In view of the possible flood situation, the Khordha district administration has announced closure of all schools in the district tomorrow.

As per an urgent letter issued, all government, government-aided, OAV and private primary, upper primary, high schools and higher secondary schools in the district will remain closed for students from 1 PM on July 30 to July 31.The directive states that mid-day meals will be served early on July 30 and students will be sent home by 1 PM. However, teachers and other staff will attend school as usual.

Apart from that no casual leave (CL) will be granted for the next four days to staff. The Headmasters have been directed to keep schools and essential infrastructure ready to deal with any possible flood situation. They have also been asked to arrange 24-hour roster duty at schools and provide necessary support to the district administration.

The order, issued on the instructions of the District Collector, has asked for strict compliance. It warned that a “Zero Tolerance” policy will be adopted against any negligence in duty.
