Woman arrested for murdering twin sons in Rajasthan

Jaipur: A woman was arrested within six hours of her 13-year-old twin sons being found dead in Rajasthan’s Deeg district. The police suspect that a relationship dispute may have triggered the alleged murders.

The incident came to light on Dussehra morning after police received information about the bodies. The bodies were found near a village yesterday.

When police received information regarding the crime, it reached the spot along with forensic experts, a dog squad and a mobile investigation team to collect evidence.

According to police, the woman was widowed and had been living at her parental home with her children.

The mother is believed to have murdered the twins following her fiance’s decision to decline them from her previous marriage and not marry her.

The police are interrogating the suspect and looking for any accomplices.

Early information indicated that the crime might have occurred within the home.

Law enforcement officials have confiscated the alleged murder weapon, clothing and other physical evidence for analysis.

The bodies of the victims were examined post-mortem and the reasons behind the killings and to establish whether anyone else was involved is still unclear.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
