UPSC recruitment 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a recruitment notification for 828 Principal and vice Principal posts.

The vacancies for Principal posts are 124 and Vice Principal posts are 704 in Education Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.

Interested and eligible candidates must fill up the application form latest by August 14 through UPSC Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal.

Important dates:

• Online application begins: July 25
• Last date to apply: August 14
• Combined Recruitment Test (CRT): November 1
• Interview: To be announced separately by UPSC

Eligibility Criteria:

Principal:

• Candidates must have Master’s Degree from a recognized university/institute + Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
• 10 years of teaching experience as Vice Principal / Post Graduate Teacher / Trained Graduate Teacher in a recognized school
• UR/EWS: 50 years, OBC: 53 years, SC/ST: 55 years, Relaxation applicable for eligible PwBD candidates as per rules.

Vice Principal:

• Candidates must have Master’s Degree from a recognized university/institute + Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
• 2 years as Post Graduate Teacher OR 3 years as Trained Graduate Teacher in a recognized school.
• UR/EWS: 35 years, OBC: 38 years, SC/ST: 40 years, Relaxation applicable for eligible PwBD candidates as per rules
