NBCC Receives ₹109 Crore Orders for Student Hostels in Odisha and Horticulture Lab in Srinagar

NBCC (India) Ltd. has secured fresh domestic project management consultancy (PMC) contracts worth approximately ₹108.85 crore (excluding GST), adding two government-backed infrastructure projects in Odisha and Jammu & Kashmir to its order book.

The larger of the two assignments, valued at around ₹88.43 crore, has been awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Cuttack, for the construction of boys’ and girls’ hostels at multiple locations across Odisha. The project is aimed at strengthening student accommodation infrastructure under the state’s technical education network.

The second contract, worth about ₹20.42 crore, has come from the National Horticulture Board for the construction of a Clean Plant Centre laboratory and office building at the ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (ICAR-CITH) in Srinagar. The facility will be developed under the government’s Clean Plant Programme, which focuses on improving the availability of disease-free planting material for horticulture. 

In a regulatory filing, the state-owned construction company said both projects were awarded in the ordinary course of business and fall under its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) segment. NBCC also clarified that neither contract involves any interest from its promoter or promoter group, and both transactions are not related-party deals. The company did not disclose execution timelines for either project. 

NBCC, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, primarily operates across project management consultancy, engineering procurement and construction (EPC), and real estate development. The company continues to expand its government infrastructure portfolio through projects spanning education, healthcare, housing and institutional facilities across the country.
