Bhubaneswar: Another round of heavy rains is in store for Odisha as IMD predicts a wide spread rainfall across the state in the upcoming days.

From August 24, the rainfall spell will be more active, with some regions of north Odisha experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Orange Warning has been issued for Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj, with the rest of the Odisha districts likely to experience rainfall.

The spell will last till august 27 and is quite expected to be severe in both Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.

Heavy rains have potential to cause waterlogging in lower levels of land and puddles on the road and create troubles in the road transport.

People residing on the bank of rivers, streams and low lying prone area are alerted to remain vigilant and continuously obtain the information from the weather forecast and district administration.

Authorities is also monitoring the situation with more heavy rainfall round to come in the state.
