Wangchuk has urged supporters to join a peaceful demonstration towards Parliament on July 20 when the Monsoon Session begins.

A doctor, on duty at the site, confirmed that Wangchuk has lost a lot of body weight since he began his fast.

The Delhi High Court had asked the authorities to closely watch the conditions of Wangchuk and to promptly intervene medically if the doctor thinks that it may be necessary for the purpose of saving his life.

Wangchuk has received calls from many political leaders and other dignitaries asking him to end the fast, but he said he is firm in his resolve till his demands are appropriately responded to.
