Centre, CJP hold key talks as protesters push for education minister’s resignation

New Delhi: The Union government representatives are holding key talks with leaders of the CJP at the Constitution Club of India in, to hold a negotiations for a neutral place.

The talks are being held against the backdrop of nation-wide demonstrations held against an alleged NEET exam paper leak.

Before the discussions, CJP leaders on Wednesday stressed that one of their main demands is the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

They have also demanded that the FIRs registered against “innocent protestors” be quashed, compensation should be given to those who lost out on marks due to the alleged leak, and reforms for transparency in the entire examination process.

Though the discussions are seen as a significant step ahead after several days of protests, the CJP has stated its demonstrations will carry on all across the country unless prompt actions are taken by the Centre.
