3 injured after stampede took place outside Ranchi Stadium during Jharkhand T20 League

Ranchi: 3 injured after stampede took place due to excessive crowd at the gate outside the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi during Jharkhand T20 League yesterday.

The incident took place on the final match of the tournament and people in massive numbers came to watch the game. People were jostling and pushing each other while standing at the gate and few of them sustained injuries.

It is being reportedly said that the gate and barricades broke when frustrated fans pushed forward.

Following the incident, police and security personnel rushed to the spot to bring the crowd under control and normalise the situation. More security force were deployed after this incident to maintain monitor the crowd and maintain disciple among the spectators.

Stampede took place as only only gate was opened for entrance in the stadium. Security checks were slow, so a big crowd built up outside. People got restless and rowdy for a short time.

The situation inside the stadium was completely normal after what had happened outside.
