The honor reflects the state’s performance in implementing the highest number of structural overhauls under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban 2.0, notably through administrative digitization and streamlined inter-agency execution.
Welcoming the national verdict, Housing and Urban Development Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra stated that the state’s housing agenda views shelter as a matter of social dignity rather than mere construction targets. He attributed the success to urban local bodies and administrative teams, pledging continued procedural ease and prompt last-mile delivery for all eligible beneficiaries.
