Man arrested for allegedly killing father with axe in Jharkhand

New Delhi: A tragic incident has occurred in the village of Karipani in Bokaro district of Jharkhand.

A person allegedly killed his father with an axe on Friday night after an argument with him over going home drunk.

According to sources, Arjun Karmali (30) reached his house in an intoxicated state after going to his maternal uncle’s house.

When he reached the house drunk, his father, Jailal Karmali, started scolding him for coming home late and intoxicated.

Suddenly, an argument broke out. Angry Arjun picked up an axe and hit his father on the head. His father died on the spot after sustaining injuries.

On information about the incident, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused.

The dead body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

The accused has been sent to judicial custody for further investigation.
