BEOs asked to clear outstanding electricity dues of educational institutions and offices in seven days

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has reportedly directed all the Block Education Officers (BEOs) for immediate clearance of outstanding electricity dues of educational institutions and offices under School and Mass Education Department.

In a letter to the BEOs, the Director of Elementary Education, informed that the block-wise allotment has already been released towards payment of electricity dues against all Primary/Upper Primary Schools of the State.

The BEOs have been instructed to draw and disburse the allotted amount within seven days from the date of receipt of this letter failing which action as deem and proper will be initiated against the defaulting Officers.
